BRING BACK YOUR BAIN

KÉRASTASE'S NEW IN-SALON RECYCLING PROGRAM

Today, and more than ever, the world needs care – responsible and sustainable care. As the leading professional luxury hair care brand, Kérastase felt a responsibility to address environmental challenges and build a more sustainable future for all.

CARE IS OUR STORY – AND OUR FUTURE

Since 2013, Kérastase has resolved to extend its expertise in the art of care by committing to minimize its impact on the planet. Drawing on their excellence in innovation, they have continued to find new ways to reduce waste and empower customers to make more sustainable choices. To accompany the new Refillable Bains, Kérastase is thrilled to be partnering with Green Circle Salons, and launch the new Bring Back Your Bain recycling program.

3 SIMPLE STEPS TOWARDS A GREENER FUTURE

    1. Bring back your empty Kérastase Bain to your salon.
Other plastic retail Kérastase packing is accepted.

    2. Place the empty Bain in the Bring Back Your Bain bin.
The product must be empty to be recycled.

    3. Scan the QR code on the bin.
Discover Kérastase’s sustainable mission and learn more about your Bain bottle’s next journey.

    4. Get your reward!
As a thank you for helping reduce plastic waste, you will receive a complimentary travel-size product!

WHAT CAN BE RECYCLED?

While the program is specifically tailored and dedicated to guarantee the proper disposal and recycling of the Bains bottles, other empty Kérastase retail format packaging can be placed in the bin as well.

What is not currently accepted?

Retail products that not empty and glass bottles (retail or otherwise; e.g. Kérastase serums and oils).

FAQ

What does Green Circle Salons do with the recycled bottles?
100% of the materials recycled through Kérastase Bring Back Your Bain Program will be given a new life!

Do the product bottles and packaging need to be rinsed?
No, the bottles don’t need to be rinsed. They just need to be empty.

What are difficult to recycle Kérastase products? Can all be recycled using Kérastase’s Bring Back Your Bain Bins?
There are three types of product packaging that face several challenges through local recycling: dark plastics, soft/combination materials, and aerosols. While we encourage all types of plastics to be recycled in Kérastase’s Bring Back Your Bain Bins, the program is optimal for plastics that are difficult to be recycled. This is because Green Circle Salons is able to ensure that such plastics are correctly disposed of whereas local recycling programs have a harder time doing so.
